5th Grade Play

I can not believe I have a fifth grader, I can remember being in fifth grade and loving my teacher Mr. Harris, and doing a report on the Minute Men. But, back to Syd... this year has been a great learning year for Sydney, she is earning her academic of learning degrees, and she got to be in her first play. They did a play on Benjiman Franklin, and Sydney was in the choir and got to play the "Gout", yep that is the disease. At first Jon and I were wondering what the heck, but then she brought home her part and she had about 5 good lines to learn and in the discription it said that Gout was to be played by a dramatic, pretty little girl so with that said it totally describes our Sydney Jo. But she did great, and we even had a few parents come up to us after telling us how good she did. I know I am the mom, but Syd is again a natural.

Lucy Girl's Recital

Jon went up to Seattle on December 10th to see Lucy's Dance recital, and spend a long weekend with her. Her recital went very well, she had a tap number, ballet number and tumbling. She was also very interested in the feathers on her costume. What a cutie she is...

Christmas Tree

This year the kids had all the say in decorating the Christmas tree. Syd requested colored lights, and they had a great time decorating. And I really think it looks nice.

Syd's Christmas Dance Recital

So the week after Thanksgiving has to be one of our craziest weeks yet.. We came home with 2 sick kids, and ended up with Nic getting sick as well along with me. Thank goodness Jon held off until the next week. But it was also the week of Syd's Christmas Dance recital, which ment the 2 normal days of dance practice, then the dress rehersal on Thursday and the recital on Friday. But she did great as always, she had a Jazz and Ballet routine, she is a natural. What ever Syd puts her mind to she can always pull it off in style.

And while on the Thanksgiving weekend Codi and I took the kids swimming and boy did they have fun.

Well here I am again playing catch up on the blog. One day this will become second nature to me, but I am not holding my breath for it being this year. November brought us to Thanksgiving in Wyoming. I love this tradition and the kids had a blast with there Gramma and Grampa and their cousins. Not to mention all the great food. Plus I made the divinity and fudge this year, with mom watching over me carefully so I would learn to do it right. Jon got to go on the traditional Thanksgiving weekend fishing, and not ice fishing but the actually creek fishing.
