Boys vs Girls in Christmas PJs

It is rare to get so many photos, but Nic was definitely winding down...

More Christmas Eve 2008

Just a few more Pics from Christmas Eve...

Christmas Eve 2008

Wow what a day! The kids woke up sooo excited it was hard to keep them from opening gifts. We did manage to get them to sit for breakfast and then take showers, then I made them take pictures before they got playing too hard and messed up their hair.
Jon got us all down to get new ski boots for Syd, Stock and Lucy, and a new pair of skiis for Nic. Yep this is the year the whole family gets to ride the mountain. It is going to be a sad year when Nic passes his mom in skiing ability when spring hits, but he is really excited to get to go with the kids and wear his boots and skiis.
Then we went down to Alpine to Jon's family for their annual Christmas Eve dinner and pagent. This year Lucy was Mary, Stock was Joseph, Nic was Baby Jesus and Syd was a wisewomen. Then we came home and opened our Christmas PJs from Gramma and Grampa, and even Nic was really happy with this present (thanks Mom and Dad).

Ben 10- Game or Obsession?

Ben 10 Alien Force video game is the hot item at our house, and not just for the kids. I think it is Stockton's and Jon's favorite obsession right now, they stayed up last night until midnight playing, and then Stock woke up at 8 am wanting more. And Jon would have gave in if I would have let him.

All under one roof

Well the time is here all of our babies are under one roof, what a way to end the year. Lucy made it home (by the skin of her teeth..bad weather and all) on Dec. 22nd at about 6:45pm. We are sooo glad she made it safe.

This year Jon and I are starting a tradition in giving the kids a new orniment for the tree with a specific theme. This years theme was penguins, mainly because Syd did her first report this year on them and we all really learned something we love about penguins. So all the kids finished the tree decorating by adding their penguin. Then we all got new stockings to hang for Santa to fill.

Christmas Sunday Dec.21nd

Well I will post more after Christmas, because Lucy Girl is flying into town tomorrow and is home until January 4th. So it will be one great way to end the year 2008 and begin 2009 with all of us at home under one roof.
But these photos I had to add, One Stockton was actually smiling and loving his picture being taken, and two, our little Nic was not a happy camper, so I got pictures with him crying this year instead of Stock.

5th Grade Play

I can not believe I have a fifth grader, I can remember being in fifth grade and loving my teacher Mr. Harris, and doing a report on the Minute Men. But, back to Syd... this year has been a great learning year for Sydney, she is earning her academic of learning degrees, and she got to be in her first play. They did a play on Benjiman Franklin, and Sydney was in the choir and got to play the "Gout", yep that is the disease. At first Jon and I were wondering what the heck, but then she brought home her part and she had about 5 good lines to learn and in the discription it said that Gout was to be played by a dramatic, pretty little girl so with that said it totally describes our Sydney Jo. But she did great, and we even had a few parents come up to us after telling us how good she did. I know I am the mom, but Syd is again a natural.

Lucy Girl's Recital

Jon went up to Seattle on December 10th to see Lucy's Dance recital, and spend a long weekend with her. Her recital went very well, she had a tap number, ballet number and tumbling. She was also very interested in the feathers on her costume. What a cutie she is...

Christmas Tree

This year the kids had all the say in decorating the Christmas tree. Syd requested colored lights, and they had a great time decorating. And I really think it looks nice.

Syd's Christmas Dance Recital

So the week after Thanksgiving has to be one of our craziest weeks yet.. We came home with 2 sick kids, and ended up with Nic getting sick as well along with me. Thank goodness Jon held off until the next week. But it was also the week of Syd's Christmas Dance recital, which ment the 2 normal days of dance practice, then the dress rehersal on Thursday and the recital on Friday. But she did great as always, she had a Jazz and Ballet routine, she is a natural. What ever Syd puts her mind to she can always pull it off in style.

And while on the Thanksgiving weekend Codi and I took the kids swimming and boy did they have fun.

Well here I am again playing catch up on the blog. One day this will become second nature to me, but I am not holding my breath for it being this year. November brought us to Thanksgiving in Wyoming. I love this tradition and the kids had a blast with there Gramma and Grampa and their cousins. Not to mention all the great food. Plus I made the divinity and fudge this year, with mom watching over me carefully so I would learn to do it right. Jon got to go on the traditional Thanksgiving weekend fishing, and not ice fishing but the actually creek fishing.
